The Brief

Zuora wanted an ad to screen before Accountant 2 in theaters. The brief was simple: Show how their new product is so good it's going to blow the socks off every accountant in the room. It needed to be funny, simple, and clean.

Research & Discovery

First, research. We dig into your brand, dissect your competitors, understand the industry and figure out what actually makes your audience tick—all so that we discover the right concept.
  • Messaging
  • Tone of voice
02

Script

Once the concept is ready, we use some alchemy to handcraft (literally) your script.

No corporate jargon, no buzzwords. Just clear storytelling that explains what you do with a slight chance of a plot twist.
  • Flow and rhythm of the story
  • Visual Concept
03

Pre-Production

Next—we break down the script to spot every logistical nightmare, and lock everything down. Shot division, storyboards, cast, locations, costumes, art and hundreds of other minute details that go into the film's overall look.

This is where we see the film before the film exists.
  • Colors & font
  • Illustration & character style
  • UI/product or brand elements

Production

We have now arrived at the point of no return — “the principal photography”, also known as — “the shoot”.

Don’t worry if you’re feeling anxious during this time, because that too is part of the process.
  • Content accuracy
  • UI and text clarity
  • Visual representation of concepts
